Simplicity Parenting Group and Home Visits

the path to support and more connected time with what is important to you and your family.

From start to finish, the day is punctuated with the words, “Hurry up! Let’s go already. Get in the car!!” It’s hard to say who’s more stressed, exhausted, and overwhelmed—you or your child. With so much going on each day, there’s no time to connect with and enjoy your child—or for her to enjoy you.

Deep down, you know there has to be another way—another way to parent, another way to live. And you’re right.

Simplicity Parenting, written by Kim John Payne, offers a simple, orderly and effective pathway to simplify four realms at home, which reduces stress on children and parents, and allows room for connection, creativity and relaxation.

The four realms for simplifying are:

Environment

De-cluttering all the stuff at home.

Rhythm

Increasing predictability by introducing rhythmic moments for connection and calm.

Scheduling

Soothing violent schedules brings moments for Being into all the Doing.

Unplugging

Reducing the influence of adult concerns, media and consumerism on children and families to increase resilience, social and emotional intelligence.

Martina is a trained Simplicity Parenting Family Life Coach and Counselor. We offer group classes and home visits to support parents and families in a number of ways. The classes are based on the Simplicity Parenting book, and we will explore, support, share, and design doable changes to simplify those four realms at home.

Simplicity Parenting Parents Group

The group meets to lead you through a dynamic, transforming, and practical change process that supports you in imagining, designing, and evaluating simplicity goals. The group course is about processing the material and then taking action tailored to the needs of your family. The results help you strengthen and re-orient your own personal family values and then help you be successful in selecting and implementing “do-able” strategies into your family life.

What do you get from a group?

  • A guide for making practical and sustainable changes based on you and your family’s wants.
  • Practice new communication tools for use with partner and children.
  • Ideas on how to identify and heal soul fever.
  • Ideas and ways to creating or tweaking daily/weekly rhythm and schedules.
  • A process to develop a plan to live with less clutter and information.
  • A leader who is skillful in group process, in supporting families through changes and in allowing families to individualize their simplicity plans.

Simplicity Parenting Home Visits

If additional support is needed, we are also available for home visits. By getting to know you and your family better, we can offer customized support to help create a foundation for more connection, peace, and joy.
